The Lumia 1320 is the Lumia 1520's budget counterpart. Whilst the 1320 also has a 6 inch screen, the rest of the specification list is a tier below what is offered by the Lumia 1520. This isn't necessarily a bad thing though as it allows for the cost of the phone to be lower than its potential rivals, providing us with an affordable phablet with 4G.
What the critics say (scores are out of 100)
Techweez | Latiff Cherono If you need a great productivity device that lasts 2 days, love multimedia at the expense of a slight compromise on imaging, and you don't wear skinny jeans, the 1320 is the device for you. The 1320 proves that once you go big, it's hard go back to smaller devices. Read full review |

NotebookCheck | Manuel Masiero Buyers looking for a 6-inch smartphone powered by Windows Phone 8 should definitely put Nokia's Lumia 1320 on their shortlist considering its many good properties. Read full review |
|
Australian PC World | Tony Ibrahim Nokia has identified a gap in the large-screen market and filled it with this fantastic value-for-money offering. The Lumia 1320 stands testament to the maturing Windows Phone ecosystem by delivering it on six glorious inches. It might not be the smartphone for everyone, but the niche looking for a budget 'phablet' will appreciate the Nokia Lumia 1320. Read full review |

TheEffect.Net | Tony The Lumia 1320 is a great phablet, a great Lumia and a great Windows Phone. Read full review |

Digital Versus | Sofian Nouira There's no doubt about it, the Lumia 1320 is an excellent mid-range phablet. The only deal-breaker is whether or not you're ready to handle a phone this size. Read full review |

The Gadget Show The Nokia Lumia 1320's the best value big-screened Windows Phone around, no question - and unless you really need a top notch camera, it's better value for money than the 1520 too. Read full review |

Expert Reviews | Katharine Byrne If you're not fussed about taking pictures then the 1320's great screen and excellent battery life is just the thing for surfing the web and watching films and TV on the move, all without breaking the bank. Read full review |
|
PC Advisor | Matt Egan The Lumia 1320 will make a good purchase for first-time smartphone buyers who want a big display - just don't expect the best at this price... . The camera is basic and the storage limited, but the battery life is brilliant. Read full review |

Wired UK | Dave Oliver The Nokia Lumia 1320 is an intriguing mix of contradictions but it's a case of horses for courses. It's a good performer and certainly worth a look - the only real drawback compared to similar Android devices is the understocked app store. Read full review |
|
ITProPortal | Sandra Vogel The Nokia Lumia 1320 has microSD expansion, which is nice, and 4G, which is very nice, but nothing that really takes advantage of the large screen. It is, as 6in handsets tend to be, a bit of a pain to fit into pockets. Read full review |
|
The Inquirer | Carly Page Sure, it's affordable, but the handset's low-resolution screen and average camera means users are unlikely to opt for the Lumia 1320 when they can bag a Nexus 5, for example, with top-end specs for the same low price - and with many more applications on offer. Digital Spy | Mark Langshaw The Lumia 1320 is a reliable phablet with a decent set of specs that doesn't make too many concessions in terms of performance when compared to its high-end sibling the Lumia 1520. However, its strengths are offset against a mediocre camera and some missed opportunities to maximise the potential of its expansive screen. Read full review |

What Mobile The Windows Phone software doesn't suit a screen this size. Beyond an extra column of tiles dumped onto the homescreen, the massive display offers few advantages. You can't run apps side by side, as with the Galaxy Note. You can't adjust the size of the keyboard to suit your thumbs or swipe to type. And there's no stylus for writing. It's just the small screen experience, stretched out and blurrier. Read full review |

Coolsmartphone | James Pearce Overall I really liked the Lumia 1320, which is strange as I wasn't too keen on the higher spec 1520. I see the 1320 as an ideal media player, games machine, social media device, web browser and messaging device for a great price. Read full review |

SlashGear | Chris Davies We like Windows Phone, and we like Nokia's design and many of its custom apps, but like its more expensive sibling the Lumia 1320 doesn't make the very most of its hardware. For now we'd be more tempted by one of Nokia's smaller Lumia devices. Read full review |

V3 | Carly Page The Nokia Lumia 1320 is a fairly decent, but uninspiring large-screen Windows Phone that offers users good battery and performance. But these perks are let down by its dull design, heavy weight and lack of a stylus. Read full review |
|
T3 | David Phelan If you like a big phone, but don't want to spend too much money, this is a highly attractive handset. Screen resolution is not tip top, but more than adequate and the Nokia benefits of easy readability in bright sunshine or being usable through gloves means the phone is good to use in summer and winter. MSN Tech | David Nield For those wanting to save some money and who are able to live without the envelope-pushing specs and impressive camera of the 1520, this is a handset that makes a lot of sense. We'd particularly recommend it to those who watch plenty of movies and TV, who are already well invested in the Microsoft/Xbox/Office ecosystem and who need a long-lasting battery. Read full review |
|
Trusted Reviews | Andrew Williams The Nokia Lumia 1320 is a big phone that doesn't try to hide its oversized dimensions. However, the large screen's benefits don't outweigh the practical issues of a phone this size, especially one that weighs as much as 220g. Read full review |
